Whats up r/cad!
Black fridays upon us, and as a fifth 12 months machinist/set-up man I've been toying with the theory of dipping my toe into the modeling/programming facet of items, so I've been having a look round for the cheap paintings station I will use for CAD/CAM stuff.
My store makes use of Mastercam, and my funds here’s below $800 USD, however clearly the inexpensive the easier.
First one up is an older refurbished HP with a sixth gen intel i7 2.7ghz processor and devoted Nvidia Quadro 2gb card.
2nd selection is a more recent style with an eleventh gen i7 @2.9 ghz and built-in intel iris xe graphics.
Each have 16gb of ram.
I assume my query boils right down to: must I’m going with the more recent MSI for sake of the quicker processor and more recent parts or the older HP for sake of the devoted video card and decrease preliminary price?
On the other hand, I'm open to any ideas you guys and gals could have for a greater acquire I will make…thank you!
